The room was clean albeit small however is adequate for 2 single beds at a reasonable price. The washroom was clean also. Breakfast is included in the price but it is geared for domestic guests not so much for western tourists. The staff is friendly and some understand English. Each room has air conditioning and a safety deposit box. There are convenience stores (AlfaMidi and AlfaMart) about 60 meters on either side of the hotel where you can buy snacks or get Indonesian currency from the ATM machine inside the stores. It is recommended to install the Grab app on your smartphone. Typically you can get a Grab car online faster and cheaper than a regular taxi. I had mine downloaded in Kuala Lumpur but you should be able to get it installed from one of those internet /electronic stores in Plaza Semanggi mall, a short taxi ride away from Sotis.

Last night Claudia and I stayed at the Sotis Hotel Kupang. It is rated 4 star, and when I booked it the reviews on booking. Com was very high. I now understand. The hotel is clean, well located and very comfortable. However, the customer service we experienced was exceptional. A good example was Henokh, (I hope I got the spelling right!)...a talented friendly employee who was extremely polite, cooperative and ‘nothing was too much trouble’. In fact all the staff we interacted with were similar... there is a very good energy in this hotel. The only issue for us was the difficulty in getting a glass of wine... a usual challenge in Indonesia...however, definitely recommend this hotel...should be rated 4.5 star, but has 5 star service.

The hotel staffs are really friendly & warm. I decided to have a beer by the bar during lunch time & the staffs were busy attending to the crowd. The GM (Ancella Kristanti) came over to serve me & asked if I would like slices of lemon for the beer. This is the first time ever in all my trips to Jakarta where a GM serves me. She knows her stuffs and very observant of the needs of her guests & directs her staffs to attend to their needs. I loved the food the hotel dishes out. Very tasty & nice. The whole F & B area gives a very warm & homely feeling. There are street food in the area & with 24hr room service, I didn't have to worry about being hungry. What really touches me as when I needed to book for a taxi, the front desk people helped me out & communicated with the taxi about my destination, knowing i can't speak the local language & they made sure I boarded the right taxi. There is a convenient store & a pharmacy along the street where I got my snacks & emergency med. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks Ancella & Team!!!

We recently had an 8-nights stay at Sotis Villa in Canggu.
From the moment we arrived until we left the staff were friendly, helpful, professional & honest.
The villa itself is down a quiet road amongst rice fields, which meant very little road noise and has an ‘out of town’ feel while being in fact, in town- just a 7-minute stroll to wonderful food!
We opted for the bacon and egg croissant breakfast option most days, which was delicious (even better with a little additional time in the villa oven) and the fruit platter.
The pool was fantastic, housekeeping fabulous, the staff are very punctual with breakfast, check in - check out was a breeze, and when we were checking out one of the housekeeping staff came running out with 400,000 IR (AUS$40ish) that I had left in the room. Very, very honest.
I would recommend these villa to couple seeking some downtime and families. We will definitely be back!
